Blog Way resize images to specific dimension to make images uniform. If any theme allow full width image and resize it through there will be two major issues.
One is loading full size image (lets say site has 500 images) will decrease site speed. Next, resizing image through css might make image shrink in improper ratio as all users may or may not have knowledge of proper CSS.

You are getting wired border at bottom of the site because of cookie plugin you are using in the site.

Please go to Appearance >> Customize >> Additional CSS and add following line of CSS to hide it.

section.widget.widget_eu_cookie_law_widget{
    border: none!important;
}

Blog Way Author Profile widget is to display author bio. You can create a page for it and assign it in sidebar. Please check this screenshot to be more clear:

After that please go to Appearance >> Widgets, drag and drop Blog Way: Author Profile widget to sidebar and assign recently created page like this:

You can add following css to effect home page only:

    width: 50%;
    display: inline-block;
    padding-right: 10px;
}

.home .detail-wrap {
    display: inline-block;
    width: 50%;
}
