    Hello,

I am using your Theme “Business Point” for my WordPress Blog.
Now, because of the new European DSVGO (new data protection standard), the usage of Google Fonts seems to be problematic, since by using Google fonts you cannot avoid that the Google Servers get automatically contacted in the US, which might conflict with the new DSVGO (if I am correct).

    Now my queations:
    1) Are Google fonts used with the Business Point Theme – yes or no?
    2) If Google fonts are used, how can I deactivate the usage – e.g. by using a specific plugin that works with your theme? Please advice.
    3) Does the upgrade to the “Pro” Version of Business Point help to manage & deactivate the usage of Google fonts?
I would upgrade to the Pro Version if this allows me to Control the usage of the Google fonts.

    To sum up:
Please advice how I can solve this.
My Goal is to still use the Business Point Theme, but I want to make sure that no Google fonts are used anymore on my WordPress blog.

    Thank you,
    Kathi

    Hi @rienchen1234

Both Business Point free and premium version use Google Fonts.

WordPress team is working on this issue. If theme review team release any rule about GDPR compliant, we will update our theme accordingly.

Even Google is working hard to prepare for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can check it here

So you can continue using the theme.

    Thank you.
