I created a series of pages and populated the menu with them as a skeleton for a new site. Since it is not a blog I wanted one of these pages to be the home page. I set the home page to be a static home page and picked one of the newly created pages. However once set as the static home page, the header I configured for this page no longer appears. It did before I set it as the static home page and I made no other changes. It shows as using the same template as all the other pages, which do show the ehader.

    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hi @gfbhwo,

You can go to Appearance >> Customize and add slider for home page instead of static header image.

I hope it will work for you.

    Thanks.

OK I tried that, but presumably I have to set images for the slider. I would assume these are the page 1, page 2 etc. options under customize->theme options -> slider options, but the drop list is only giving me the existing pages to pick from, not any way to select an image.

    Hi @gfbhwo,

Yes, you can select only page from dropdown on slider options. You need to add featured image for respective page for slider image. Title, content and featured image of that page will be used for slider.

    Thanks.

    Manesh,

I appreciate your responses. However it seems the particular layout of this theme won’t work for what I had in mind, so I’ll have to find something else.

    Thanks for your help.

I am really sorry to know my theme does not meet your requirement.
