Thank you for providing “Business Point” as a theme it is clean and professional. I am testing the theme on a dev install for my small marketing agency. I have some questions that may be able to addressed and hope to hear from you.
1. Are there any known issues with using child theme generator plugins which can possibly break the site? Would you suggest manually creating a child theme and would there be any issues with a manually created child theme?
2. If I continue to develop using the “Business Point” theme and later switch to “Business Point Plus”, is the theme architecture developed in a way that a child theme produced will apply correctly to the that theme? I primarily will only make changes to the “style.css” file.

Yes, you can easily create a child theme from here. And There will be no issues with a manually created child theme.

If you will change in the style.css only then it will not cause an issue
but if you are using any hook then it will not work in your child theme.Regards,
