Trying to determine if this is a Woocommerce problem, or a theme problem. I can’t get my thumbnails below my product image to change size or shape. I’m trying to make them smaller and square. They are currently maintaining the same size ratio of the original image.

You can upload images that have equal height and width to avoid this issue.

I know what I can do. I’m trying to determine whether this is because of the Theme or WooCommerce, because what I’m reading from Woo is that the suggested changes I make on their end should change the size of those images as well as crop them into squares.
Maybe I should ask this a different way. I can’t find any instance of an image that changes the size of those pictures. It is not thumbnail, because when I change the thumbnail size for pictures in my media library those pictures don’t change at all, but they do change in other aspects of the catalog. Not only have I tried to change those image sizes in WordPress and WooCommerce, I’ve also used the Regenerate Thumbnail plugin, and absolutely nothing changes about those pictures.
So which variation of a picture that I put in the media library does those image utilize?
