Mega Magazine

Mega Magazine is modern, clean, colorful and responsive magazine style theme. It can be used for news, publishers, magazine, sports, technology, food, travel, blogs, newspaper, editors, informative, news portals and other creative websites. It uses an amazing WordPress Customizer for theme options. Mega Magazine allows you to change slider posts from category with an appealing look. It is completely translation-ready, able to display your page in any language.

Theme Installation & Setup

From WordPress Dashboard

Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
Go to the Appearance panel, then Themes.
Click Add New.
Upload the Zip file of Mega Magazine
After Installing the theme Click Activate button

FTP Installation (alternate method)

Use your FTP software to browse to wp-content/themes folder.
Extract mega-magazine.zip and upload the folder.
Once it’s uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to Appearance > Themes.
Click the Activate link.

Adding Content

Page

Follow the method below to create pages on your site

Go to Administration Panels
Go to Page and Click on Add New
Give the title of the page and add the content
Set the featured image for the post from right corner.
Click on Publish Button.
Add more page like the above methods.

Post

Follow the method below to create posts on your site

Go to Administration Panels
Go to Posts and Click on Add New
Give the title of the post and add the content
Set the featured image for the post from right corner.
Set that post on the Category.
Click on Publish Button.
Add more post like the above methods.

Category

Follow the method below to create category on your site

Go to Administration Panels
Go to Posts > Categories
Give the title of the category
Click on Save
The added category will appear on the Add Post Page.

Customization Options (Theme Options)

Go to the Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize

Logo, Site Title & Tagline

Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity
Find the options for Logo, Site Title and Tagline.
Click on Save and Publish button to save the changes.

Color

You can change background color and primary color of the site from this option.

Background Image

You can change the background image of the site through this option.

Go to Appearance > Customize > Background Image
Upload and assign image as per your need.
Click on Save and Publish to save the changes.

Menus

This theme comes with two menu locations – Top Menu and Primary Menu.

Top Menu

This menu will appear on the top navigation bar of header section.
Create a menu and add the items on the menu.
Set the menu on the Top Header Menu.
Save the Menu

Primary Menu

This menu will appear on Main menu for the site.
Create a menu and add the items on the menu.
Set the menu on the Primary Menu.
Save the Menu

Widgets

Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets. This theme comes with 7 sidebars (widget area).

1. Sidebar
This is the main sidebar used on blog pages (main content of the site). You can set it left, right or completely hide it as per your requirement.

From Widgets, go to Sidebar
Select the widgets or items to be kept on the side bar like Search, Pages, Recent Posts, Recent Comments, Categories, Archives, Text, Calendar, etc.
SAVE AND PUBLISH the sidebar items.

2. Front Page (Main News Area)
This is the main section of home page. Widgets added here will appear in Home Page of the site. We recommend you to add custom widgets added by theme in this sidebar. Custom Widgets are prefixed with MM: like MM: Slider, MM: Double Column News and so on.

3. Footer One – Footer Four
These are the sidebar (sections) used for top footer widgets area. If you add any widget in these sidebars, they will appear above copyright section of footer. If you want to hide any sidebar you can leave it empty it means do not add any widget there.

4. Header Advertisement
Widget added here will appear on the right side of main logo. We recommend you to use this area to display advertisement or similar information of your site. You can use image widget or custom HTML or text widget to display advertisement as per its nature.

Slider Setup

Go to Appearance >> Widgets. Or it can be added from Appearance >> Customize >> Widgets >> Front Page (Main News Area) too.
Drag and Drop MM: Slider to Front Page (Main News Area)
Click on widget, fill available options and save the changes.

Social Links Setup

Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Social Links Options
Add complete page URL of your social networking sites.
Click on Save and Publish button to save the changes.
